Our Story

We present to you Off Beat Guesthouse, an eco-conscious tourist accommodation located right in the heart of Old Town, San Sebastián. 

Our street - Calle 31 de Agosto - is the oldest street in Donostia/San Sebastián - the only street left remaining when the rest of the city burned down in 1813. By setting up our home here, we were faced with the challenge of bringing new life to our incredibly old and charming building, while creating something fresh and vibrant for our visitors.

What we have created is unique: not a single room is the same. We’ve upcycled, and given love to items once left abandoned.

It’s original. It´s innovative. It´s eco-friendly. It's perfect imperfection. 

All of that without holding back on cleanliness, comfort, and quality.

Sleeping Conscious

We are not usually conscious when we sleep. . We pass through time, unaware of our environment and then suddenly, we wake up and we’re at home (or even better, on holiday!) 

What sleeping conscious means for us has nothing to do with a bad night’s sleep. Quite the opposite! We want you to sleep soundly at night, ready to wake up to another day of being on holiday,  while we are conscious for you. 

We are conscious about the environment and about nature. We are conscious about the big footprint that tourism leaves on our planet. 

We want to make a positive impact on tourism  so we have done some great things with our guesthouse to minimize our footprint in many ways. 

Our awesome furniture?  It’s upcycled!

Our creative artwork? Recycled materials!

Single-use? No, thanks.

Green electricity? Yes, we do.

And while we’re at it, we’re planting a tree for every reservation!
